Description

The sludge screw press is a new type of solid-liquid separation equipment that utilizes the principle of screw extrusion. It employs the powerful squeezing force generated by variations in screw diameter and pitch, along with the minimal gap between the moving rings and fixed rings, to achieve sludge dewatering through extrusion. Integrating a fully automatic control cabinet, flocculation conditioning tank, sludge concentration and dewatering unit, and a liquid collection tank, the overlapping screw sludge dewatering machine enables efficient flocculation and continuously accomplishes sludge thickening and pressing dewatering under fully automated operation. The collected filtrate is ultimately recycled or discharged.

Working Principle

During operation, sludge enters the filter cylinder through the feed inlet and is pushed toward the discharge outlet by the spiral shaft blades. As the pitch between the spiral blades gradually decreases, the pressure on the sludge continuously increases, initiating dewatering under the pressure difference. Water is expelled through the filtration gaps between the fixed and moving rings. Simultaneously, the self-cleaning function between the moving and fixed rings clears the filtration gaps to prevent clogging. After thorough dewatering, the sludge cake is discharged from the outlet via the propulsion of the spiral shaft.
